About
This New Zealand (Aotearoa) children’s alphabet frieze travels from beach through farmland, past a Marae, and back to the sea with iconic Kiwi images, just like a kiwi road trip. As well as being a colorful decoration for bedrooms / playrooms, it can help to teach children the alphabet & to recognize words.
Easily attached to the wall using removable mounting strips the frieze is the perfect present for younger children. An ideal gift for a baby shower, birthday or christening – especially for Kiwi kids living overseas. The subtle colours with punches of bright work in any colour scheme.
The frieze comes in 4 strips which when put together make up one long illustration appoximately 3.9m long. The paper stock is sustainable and 250gsm (thick, quality, uncoated stock, not flimsy & shiny). The strips are rolled up and put in a strong cardboard tube to post so that they do not get damaged.
The idea for Aotearoa Alphabet came when I tried to find a ‘Kiwi’ alphabet frieze for one of our Godsons. I decided that as soon as I had the time I would design one that was a long illustration from the beach through the middle of New Zealand and back to the sea. It was important to me that it was as eco-friendly as possible & that quality printing = made to last. Our twins love it and we hope you do too!
